Dinalupihan, Bataan — Owing to the dismal failure of some top police officials to solve it, no less than the lady mayor here and the Chief of the Land Transportation Office will now address the deteriorating traffic congestion in this strategic town in Northern Bataan.
LTO chief Ronald Dabu said they had talked with Mayor Gila S. Garcia about the monstrous traffic jam along the town proper, particularly along the market area which is the busiest portion of the town “and find ways how to decongest it with dispatch.” “Mayor Garcia is so concerned about the traffic mess in her town, so we will address it to ensure the smooth flow of traffic here,” said Dabu.
First, Dabu said the LTO will conduct seminars for the town’s marshalls and even traffic policemen to teach them how to properly man and direct traffic. Second, he said, there should be a rerouting of traffic to decongest the busy streets here. Third is to have the colorum tricycles registered not only for the safety of the operators themselves but also to help the town’s revenue. “Nag-offer na nga si mayor Gila ng murang prankisa para makatulong sa mga tricycle operators dahil ini-open niya ang franchise sa kanyang bayan. Pagkatapos ng ibinigay na palugit na dalawang buwan sa mga colorum ay manghuhuli na kami, ” pointed out Dabu.
